Glass food storage

Pyrex glass baking tray Thinking about getting rid of the pyrex food storage we now have, and switching to glass. We also have a bunch of the Ziploc two-cup round containers with the screw-on lids that I use to freeze portions of stock and soup in. The 3 main choices seem to be I do have 2 of the Glasslock containers but of course the downside is that they're not stackable like the plastic ones are. I know the cooking pot lid on the Pyrex glass baking tray are the easiest to operate and have the tightest seal BUT I have read user reviews that say the tabs don't hold up well to freezer storage so am wondering about that.
What has been your experience with these 3 brands for glass food storage re: these specfic factors:
(1) Ease of closing and opening lids
(2) Airtightness of lids, particularly with liquids
(3) Stackability saving storage of the empties
(4) Going from refrigerator directly to microwave
(5) Materials issues (lids cracking or splitting, glass cracking or shattering, etc)
(6) Whether the plastic lid tends to hold any odors from prior foods
I would never use any plastic lid in the microwave so that performance is irrevelant. The following list is far from comprehensive. Here’s where I’ve seen great pyrex glass baking dish:
Ikea: Those environmentally progressive, design-for-the-masses Swedes purvey very nice glass food storage containers. As soon as I can pull myself away from my laptop-how about never? Just kidding!-I’m heading to Ikea Brooklyn to buy at least ten of these。The Container Store: While I’m put off by this store’s inflated pricing-that’s why I’m not linking to them-if price is no object, check them out. They offer an incredibly wide variety of glass storage containers and jars.
Flea markets and garage salesare a fun way to unearth fabulous bargains on vintage pyrex storage.
Ebay. Warning: Vintage glass can become an addictive hobby-and Ebay is the Mecca for hobbyists of every stripe. Try searching for vintage Pyrex, vintage glass casserole, vintage covered glass dish-those are just a few of my obsessions. I’m sure you have your own. Don’t get me started on old lead-glazed Fiesta ware.
